Ms. Cony Belima Alphonso
Director of Key Stage 3 - Year 7, 8 and 9
I always wanted to work in education and teaching ensured that I could enable children to flourish into well-rounded individuals.
I find that I work at my best when faced with a fresh and exciting challenge. I have been eager throughout my career to be as closely involved with continuous professional development. It has been 35 long successful years of educational experience in teaching and learning, 30 years in UAE and 20 years here at Cambridge High School.
Alongside teaching and learning, the well-being of students and staff is my focus. I am incredibly passionate about every child getting the absolute best out of their education. Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies, in learning styles. My role as a Phase Leader for Upper Primary is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, we will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful.
I believe that there are unchanging values in changing times and these must be passed on to every child by modelling, value inculcation and value integration through lessons.
I am delighted to be able to work with a strong, dedicated and passionate team of staff, to provide the students of CHS with the best opportunities for tomorrow’s world!
My values and education philosophy in life is “Education is the greatest gift you can give yourself or anyone else”.
