Primary School

Years 1 - 6

The Primary School programme follows Foundation stage, Lower primary and Upper primary using the programmes of study of The National Curriculum for England. Teachers work to the designated Performance Levels and Attainment Targets.

Lower Primary continues to build on the foundations laid in the Kindergarten. The learning process is child-centered, enabling pupils to think for themselves, encouraging initiative, innovation and participation.  Progress is monitored carefully through regular assessments.

The House System followed in the school enables students to participate in a variety of competitive activities from Year 1 to Year 6 thereby enhancing the leadership skills and team spirit in the students. A wide range of educational visits is offered to encourage learning outside the school boundaries.

In Years 4, 5 and 6, after school extra-curricular programmes are provided for children to participate in a wide range of activities such as drama, choir, computers, art and craft, cooking and various sports. A number of school clubs provides students with additional opportunities to acquire leadership skills, enhance their natural abilities and develop skills in new interest areas.

The Junior School programme is backed by a well-resourced school library, computer laboratories, a music studio, a multi-purpose auditorium, English support resources, art studios, an audio-visual room, and well equipped sports facilities.
